pict0174.JPGpict0174.JPGMonday January 14th;Realizing that there were plenty of soldiers and no generals especially when it came to simple things like how we clean up, bleach to water ratios, etc… Etc…  Etc….  I thought I would send a friend of mine who is a dry Waller out to do some drywall/insulation measuring and a rough material count on some other items. I had decided from all my years as a contractor that I would do some back office estimating and some calling for free or discounted materials.  I also left numerous messages with industrial hygienists, labs, suppliers and water extraction companies to get a handle on the clean up processes, bleach ratios, etc…  Etc… Etc….  I heard back from the dry Waller I sent out and he had some very rough measurements. He was able to do some prep work while he was out there, but was not sure whether to count the homes that weren’t taking any action. Your Reno real estate Realtor  Tuesday January 15th;As my emails and voice mails increase, my sleep decreases. I awaken more driven to help these people knowing that as time passes on, the volunteers/interests will lessen.  I had a nice long conversation with Bill from the Fernley Building Department on how the permit process works. He was very helpful and the process seemed streamlined and easy?  I send out emails to coworkers, friends, family, and other volunteer groups looking for money for materials.  If I can only get a semi truck load of insulation and drywall either discounted or free, we may be able to get some of these people back in to their homes a lot sooner than some of these homeowners and their attorneys assume.  My assistant and I have begun going through websites, yellow pages, and calling on favors to major suppliers of drywall, insulation, paint, plywood, cabinets, flooring, etc…  Meanwhile, having the love of fixing up homes since I was twelve years old, I am wishing I could be in the field in the muck and gluck helping and showing my support to the Fernley Flood Homeowners.  For the time being, I figure that I am better off doing back office work for now.  I have been keeping in touch with a girl from Burners Without Borders and I think I have some cash lined up with them.  They have been putting in 12 hour days and I am beginning to feel like I need to try harder. I will keep calling friends, etc.Your Reno real estate Realtor,Ron Bell
